Never noticed before.

jo, I have heard you can eat them but haven't tried more than a tentative nibble. Now that I know they're so good for us, I'll give it a go - though I agree with Leora that they're awfully bitter.

Thanks, all for visiting!MyMaracashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04277857661670053625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8195904438257031971.post-7550878280145191382011-05-04T17:35:47.597-04:002011-05-04T17:35:47.597-04:00Your dandelion portrait is gorgeous.

Raw in a salad, they need to be harvested early in the season. Lateron I steam them to preserve the vitamins.

As you say, if they were expensive, and hard to grow, we would alljo©ohttp://1jo.conoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8195904438257031971.post-75782901969884359632011-04-29T23:15:29.458-04:002011-04-29T23:15:29.458-04:00wow....at first i wanted one...now, not so much!!!...wow....at first i wanted one...now, not so much!!! great capture!!!!Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16823369215793154260noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8195904438257031971.post-61191056655758878842011-04-29T13:17:06.112-04:002011-04-29T13:17:06.112-04:00Great pics and interesting subjects - very inspira...Great pics and interesting subjects - very inspirational.

Thanks for visiting my blog :)Barbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09676889985529767445noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8195904438257031971.post-4520756450725968232011-04-28T20:29:23.754-04:002011-04-28T20:29:23.754-04:00I love dandelions and like it with they pop up.
